The place was kind of busy on Family Day, which was looking good for a new restaurant. I had the pork bone soup and the green onion fried chicken. The soup was thick and flavourful, with a generous amount of pork in it. The chicken was disappointing though. First, they over cooked it so it was dry and hard. Second, I think they put the sauce on before re-frying it, which made the chicken taste bitter and otherwise tasteless. Third, the green onion was mixed in a soy based sauce and took away the freshness of the green onion. I hope the owner could improve the recipe overtime! I would definitely return for the soup and maybe another dish! The service was prompt and friendly. Overall a good experience and worth returning to.
MoreWe went to Burning Grill for the first time this weekend, on February 22nd. It was absolutely fantastic! Staff was very pleasant & inviting. Our waitresses was great; very helpful & attentive. We loved the food, and our order came very quickly. Portion sizes are very large, more than enough food. Good quality cuts of meat as well, which is always important to me. All around, very satisfied with this place and will definitely be returning again sometime in the near future. Would reccomend 100%!
MoreAuthentic Korean BBQ. Good menu with a variety of price points for appetizers and mains. Lots of dishes suitable for sharing. Portions are very large. We had a seafood pancake that was packed with squid and shrimp in a light batter. Chicken Katsu was accompanied by a tasty shredded cabbage and some very large and crisp pickles. The spicy rice cakes were excellent, but be warned - it's enough for three or four people to share. As plates were delivered to the tables around us, we had an opportunity to enjoy some amazing aromas. Service was excellent, with tea and water refills coming at regular intervals. Our server kept apologizing for slow service, which didn't seem very slow at all. Staff were professional and friendly and did their jobs very well. It was the first day the restaurant was open - they really have their act together! Washrooms are clean and accessible. They are waiting for their payment service to be set up, so cash only at the moment.
MoreGood food, solid menu. The Korean fried chicken was excellent. Services was friendly but overall felt like they were still getting into the swing of things. Worth a visit if you are looking for Korean flavours in Kingston.
MoreFantastic flavour, great service and great atmosphere. Went to Burning Grill with a party of 7 and everyone was happy with their meal. Too bad they don't do actual Kroean BBQ where you cook at the table. Appetizers were fantastic and everything came very fast.
MoreDefinitely my new Korean favourite restaurant. The place was relatively empty and very quite. I ordered beef dumplings, spicy squid rice and shrimp fried rice. The dumplings were so juicy and flavourful. I wish I ordered more. They didn't have pork ones but I'll come back for them. The server was very sweet and polite and she had informed us that shrimp fried rice is not spicy, so that was exactly how my friend liked it. However, I love spicy food and my squid rice was exactly that! It had stir fried veggies as well in it and I really enjoyed it.We finished off the meal with ginger lemon tea and coffee from the new Moon Cafe on the premises. Was a great end. I hope they get to expand and more people drop by negate the place has real potential!!
